First time in the top 100
Rankings gradually increased over the past four years

In the QS World Graduate Employability Rankings 2022, Hanyang University ranked 96th and joined the top 100 for the first time.

The United Kingdom's university ranking institution QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) announced the QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2022 on September 25. The ranking, marking its 6th year, evaluated 500 global universities based on five indicators—Employer reputation (30%), alumni outcomes (20%), employer partnerships (25%), employer-student connections (15%), and graduate employment rate (10%).

Hanyang University ranked 96th in this year's rankings. Notably, the school earned a high score for "employer partnerships," ranking 1st in Korea and 78th globally. The indicator considers relationships for cooperative research between universities and international companies based on Elsevier's Scopus database. Two thousand global companies registered in Fortune and Forbes were included this year. Hanyang's high ranking this year demonstrates its efforts to actively respond to society's demands through industry-academy cooperation.

Concerning "employer-student connections," Hanyang University was ranked 173rd, the only Korean university in the ranking. This indicator shows employers' visits to the university for job fairs or company briefing sessions and their information provision.

Hanyang University's ranking has been constantly increased in the QS World Graduate Employability Rankings from 2018. It was placed between 201th and 250th in 2018, increased to the 121-130th range in 2019, and joined the 101-110th group in 2020 (In 2021, it was not announced). In 2022, Hanyang University ranked 96th, included in the top 100.

Meanwhile, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the US was ranked 1st three consecutive times. The following top 10 universities were Stanford University (US), UCLA (US), University of Sydney (Australia), Harvard University (US), Tsinghua University (China), Oxford University (UK), University of Melbourne (Australia), Cornell University (US), and University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong).

In Korea, five universities—Seoul National University (34th), Korea University (75th), KAIST (77th), Yonsei University (86th), and Hanyang University (96th)—were included in the top 100.
