Hanyang University was selected as the "2021 Best University for Startup Education" at the 2021 Industry-University Cooperation EXPO in recognition of its contribution to spreading entrepreneurship and vitalizing student startups. Also, it won a commendation from the Deputy Prime Minister/Education Minister on November 20.

Outstanding universities in entrepreneurship education are selected each year by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Youth Entrepreneurship Foundation. The Ministry of Education has been discovering excellent universities in startup education since 2015. Hanyang University received a commendation from the Minister of Education in 2015.

Hanyang University's achievements in startup education are attributed to diverse startup lectures and a comprehensive support system according to startup establishment stages, including preparation, establishment, growth, investment linkage, and overseas expansion. 

In particular, Hanyang University produced 55 new student startups and 18 faculty startups last year, collaborating with the Startup Support Foundation, LINC+ project group, Industry-University-Research Cooperation Foundation, and HYU Holdings through various startup programs. Also, 20 teams, which is the highest among the universities in Korea, were listed in the 300 Promising Student Startup Teams of 2021 by the Ministry of Education, proving its best-quality startup education and culture.
