Professor Hur Joon-young (Department of Medicine) of Hanyang University won the Blood Research Excellent Thesis Award at the 2022 Korean Society of Hematology International Conference (ICKSH 2022).

Blood Research, which represents the Korean Society of Hematology, awards the Blood Research Excellent Thesis Award by choosing a thesis that has excellent content and a big contribution to the development of medicine. Professor Hur won the award with the thesis under the title of Outcomes of bortezomib combination chemotherapies in autologous stem cell transplantation-ineligible patients with AL amyloidosis.

Meanwhile, Professor Hur graduated from Hanyang University College of Medicine, gained a Master's Degree from Kyunghee University, and gained a Ph.D. from Sungkyunkwan University. He is now currently working at the Korean Association of Internal Medicine, the Korean Society of Hematology, the Korean Society of Medical Oncology, the Korean Cancer Study Group, the American Association for Cancer Research, and the American Society of Hematology.
