Evaluated as the best university midfielder

Oh Jun-yeop (class of `21, School of Sport Science) got an official joining suggestion from SC Farense, a Portuguese second division football team. SC Farense evaluated Oh high and is known to have set a buyout price.

In last mid-April, Oh had a tryout of SC Farense in Portugal and left a good recognition in tests with the Farense's U23 team. Adding, its first division team tested him for another week and suggested an official joining.

Currently, Oh is listed as one of the 23 members of the Denso Cup, a university regular league between Korea and Japan, and preparing for the games. Being evaluated as the best university midfielder, he is gaining many highlights from related officials for his stable ball distribution and game management. Especially, from this Denso Cup, various K-League and J-League-related people are paying many attention to him.

Oh said, "Recently I got a suggestion from Farense. I have not made any firm decisions so far but I am thinking it positively as this is the European league I dreamed of since I started playing football." He said, "Now, I will focus only on the Denso Cup and discuss it with coach Jeong Jae-gwon (Hanyang University) and others." Continued, he shared his feeling, "Being recognized in Europe with my performance makes me feel good. Coach Jeong told me a lot about attitudes I have to have as a player in European leagues since he actually played in the Portuguese leagues and this made me show good performances in the tests."

Meanwhile, Hanyang University, Oh's team, had 33 professional players in professional leagues including K-league for the past five years.
