Professor Park Seon-cheol of Department of Psychiatry was recently appointed as an Early Career Editorial Board member of Asian Journal of Psychiatry which has the impact factor of 13.89 in 2021. Professor Park was appointed last July as an Early Career Editorial Board member through open competition. He will be evaluating psychiatry research papers and participating in special issues of the journal for next two years.

Professor Park commented that “it is a result of academic achievements and international academic works before.” Professor Park is working as an editorial board member of eight international academic journals including Acta Scandinavica Psychiatrica and four domestic academic journals including Journal of Korean Neuropsychiatric Association.

Moreover, he is an expert member on “unipolar depression disorder” in the World Federation of the Societies of Biological Psychiatry and a prominent member of Pacific Rim College of Psychiatrists. Furthermore, professor Park is also working as academic director of Korean Society of Biological Psychiatry, general director of Korean Academy of Anxiety and Mood, International director of Korean Society for Schizophrenia Research and more domestically.

Meanwhile, professor Park published research papers including Adjunctive Antipsychotic Prescriptions for Outpatients with Depressive Disorders in Asia to international renowned academic journals such as American Journal of Psychiatry. Besides, he received awards such as Whanin Psychiatry Award from Korean Neuropsychiatric Association, Best Research Award from Asian College of Neuropsychopharmacology, Lundbeck Neuroscience Research Award from Korean Society of Biological Psychiatry, Psychiatry Investigation Award From Korean Neuropsychiatric Association, Otsuka New Medical Scientist Award from Korean College of Neuropsychopharmacology, Central Psychiatry Research Paper Award from Korean Neuropsychiatric Association, Commendation from the Minister of Oceans and Fisheries, Hanmi Essay Literature Award and more.
