2022 August Wireless Haptic Interface Newly Developed for the Detailed Tactility in VR In the circumstances of the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and continuous contactless activities, the “metaverse” has attracted worldwide attention. The metaverse represents a transcendent world in which reality and virtual reality are combined, allowing people to engage in social, economic, and cultural activities, based on immersive technology. With technologies such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and extended reality (XR), humans can overcome the limitation of the restricted reality, doing real-world activities in a digital space or enjoying virtual experiences in a real space. As these technologies have a high expectation of use, many global companies including Microsoft and Meta are accelerating development with continuous interest.
