Hanyang University announced on April 28th that“An Ontological Thinking of Identity in International Studies”, an English book by Eun Yong-soo, Professor at the Hanyang University’s Department of Political Science and International Studies, will be published in May through world-renowned academic publishers Palgrave and Springer.

Palgrave is a world-renowned publisher in humanities and society with more than 170 years of tradition and more than 40 SSCI-level journals, and Springer is the world's leading publisher in natural science, publishing papers and books by Nobel laureates in physics, chemistry, and medicine including the Nature. 

The two publishers are famous for conducting several strict and rigorous screenings of research by scholars whose academic capabilities have already been verified and publishing only the manuscripts that have passed them.

This book by Professor Eun can be said as a theoretical discussion on how to better understand the concept of identity, which has long received attention in all fields of social science, including international politics, and furthermore how to respond more effectively to identity politics.

Professor Peter J. Katzenstein of Cornell University, who served as president of both the American Political Association and the International Political Association, evaluated Professor Eun's book as "A brilliant study that provides close helps to all researchers studying International Political Theory." Professor K.M. Fierkeat the University of St Andrews in the United Kingdom evaluated, “Must-reading book for anyone looking for a solution to the current deadlocked identity study”. A total of three world-class political scientists' recommendations, including them, are included in the book.
