The Department of Applied Art Education at Hanyang University will host the 53rd degree show, "13eyond," at “Gallery SUN Contemporary” on Tongil-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul from the 8th to the 12th of the upcoming month.

The number “12” symbolizes perfection, representing time and one year. The 13 in “13eyond” signifies the next, going beyond conventional norms and standards, embodying the idea of surpassing boundaries.

This show aims to break the order of the world and showcase the process of giving birth to a new order of creation, offering the audience a shift in perspective through the exhibition.

The show has been curated to provide a new dimension and perspective, unlike our usual experiences, through 13 artworks. It aims to go beyond the conventional standards of exhibitions and sets new standards for interactive exhibitions that engage with the audience, ultimately striving for a better future society.

During the show, visitors will be provided with an experiential flower kit that allows them to enjoy and participate in the artwork. After appreciating the artworks and obtaining various kit materials, visitors can create their own flowers in the experiential zone.

Professor Lee Dong-yeong from the Department of Applied Art Education, who directed this degree show emphasized, “This show is a meaningful show created by 13 students who have integrated their four years of experience and learning with the support of organizations such as Shinhan Bank, Yoondesign group, and Sandollcloud (Sandol Inc.). They have put a lot of effort to add meaning to the artworks and enhance the joy of appreciation, and visitors can expect to see a high-quality exhibition.”

The show will run until the 12th of the next month, with operating hours on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and on Fridays and weekends from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
