Hanyang University Global Social Innovation Foundation SSIR Korea Center (Director Shin Hyun-sang) announced that it hosted "SSIR Visit Day" on January 6 and 8 respectively.

The "SSIRT Visit Day" aims to share the organization's challenges and provide a shared educational experience based on in-depth knowledge of SSIR. The "SSIR Visit Day" was targeted for the Gyeongbuk Citizen Foundation and Seoul Career Center for Youth & Future (Haja Center) and provided participants with opportunities to learn about social innovation and explore its practical applications.

First, on January 6, in the session with the Gyeongbuk Citizen Foundation, held at Oh My Book in Cheongdo, participants had time to read SSIR articles and discuss with other fellow participants. During the following lectures, which provided an opportunity to reinterpret their organizational activities from a new perspective, participants learned key social innovation concepts such as collective impact and design thinking.

On January 8, at Heyground Seoul Forest, the session with Haja Center featured discussions on questions that members of organizations share while focusing on the concept of "adaptive leadership." A reflection activity using LEGO allowed participants to review the past year, share goals for the new year, and reaffirm their organization's vision. In addition, the session fostered an open atmosphere for honest conversations among team members.

"It was a valuable experience where I learned to understand our organization's work and my individual tasks from a new perspective," said one worker who participated in the workshop. "This will help shape the goals for the new year." Another participant expressed "a desire to start an SSIR reading and study group within the organization."

SSIR Korea Center, an affiliate organization of Hanyang University Global Social Innovation Foundation, plans to offer further opportunities to integrate SSIR's knowledge into practices by visiting more organizations.

Meanwhile, SSIR Korea Center publishes the Korean edition of SSIR and works to drive social change by producing and spreading knowledge essential for the social innovation ecosystem. Various activities and articles of SSIR are available on the official website of SSIR Korea.
