2020 HYU University Innovation Support Project Performance Sharing Campaign, 'Industry 4.0 Academy'

On February 2nd, Hanyang University's Education Innovation Group announced the background and achievement of the "Industry 4.0 Academy" project at the "2020 HYU University Innovation Support Project Performance Sharing Campaign"

"Industry 4.0 Academy" is a practical-based educational innovation center that responds to the 4th industrial revolution and is a project promoted as part of the university innovation support project.

"Industry 4.0 Academy" was established to promote learning spaces where you can acquire knowledge, skills, and experience related to IoT, 3D digital fabric, robotics, etc., cores of the 4th industrial revolution. Through this space, undergraduates will be able to acquire key technologies that are required in the 4th industrial revolution through curriculum and comparison courses and will train in practical skills to meet the industrial and social demands. 

"Industry 4.0 Academy" introduced  "LabVIEW educational materials", "COBOT center for robotics education and experience (2019.08)",  "IoT and deep learning education materials and software", "IoT platform gateway", and "Mindsphere software" to create an educational environment that is suitable for each purpose.

It also provides various courses to improve the educational capabilities of undergraduates. In addition to creating and operating core liberal arts that are related to the 4th industrial revolution such as 'Understanding Robots' and 'IoT Data Mining," it has also continued educational activities such as carrying out lectures on educational equipment like "LabVIEW", "Cooperative Robots" and has shown participation in Hyundai Heavy Industries' 'humanities and science education program'

In addition, since its establishment, it has been conducting satisfaction surveys with students in facilities and subjects and has actively used the results of the surveys to develop future programs and equipment. Through active feedback, "Industry 4.0 Academy" established an education and experiment platform where people can acquire and experience knowledge and skills that are related to the 4th Industrial Revolution.

Meanwhile, the University Innovation Support Project is a state-funded project by the Korea Research Foundation to support strengthening basic capabilities and strategic characterization of universities in response to future social changes, and the establishment of a future creative talent development system.
