On February 2nd, Hanyang University's Higher Education Innovation Foundation announced the background and achievements of the 'Hanyang Academic Town LION' in the "2020 HYU University Innovation Support Project Untact Performance Sharing Campaign."

"Hanyang Academic Town LION" is a teaching and learning program promoted to provide opportunities for undergraduates to contribute to social development. It also allows students to experience problem-solving processes across universities, industries, and society by challenging them to solve actual problems facing the social scene. This project was carried out with the IC-PBL Faculty Learning Center as part of the university innovation support project.

"Hanyang Academic Town LION" is planning to conduct an IC-PBL representative comparison program every year and systemically support ON-OFF alternative education. In addition, the project will be conducted using non-face-to-face tools to overcome the limitations of non-face-to-face practical experiments.
 

"Hanyang Academic Town LION" selected a total of 25 teams from April 2020 to January 2021 and released the project's final results of the 22 teams through an online performance presentation. In 2020, 26 teams (116 students) in 2019 and 25 teams (114 students) participated in the program. High participation occurred despite the limitations of a non-face-to-face environment. In addition, the program received a high satisfaction rating with a score of 5.39 out of 7.00 points by the end of 2019, based on a survey from the teams who completed the program.

The University Innovation Support Project is a state-funded project by the Korea Research Foundation to support strengthening basic capabilities and strategic characterization of universities in response to future social changes, and the establishment of a future creative talent development system.
