New Transparent Metamaterial for
Thermal Management of Car and Solar Cell 
 
In the 4th Industrial Revolution era, materials development is growing in importance. Materials, which are the foundation of industry, can resolve the limitations or stagnation of technology. While the United States, Japan, and many advanced countries are actively supporting materials research and development to preoccupy future markets, domestic nano-material convergence enterprises have recently achieved remarkable performances in the global material and equipment market with the government support.
Amidst this situation, Hanyang University School of Mechanical Engineering Professor Kim Dong-rip and his team have developed a new visibly clear material that can paint while having excellent radiative cooling performance using nanotechnology. This metamaterial can lower the indoor temperature of cars or buildings in midsummer and increase power generation efficiency while lowering the surface temperature of solar cells...
