On May 22, Maeil Business News Korea conducted an interview with CEO Han Bo-suk (Department of Mechanical Engineering) EPIKAR. After graduating from Hanyang University's Department of Mechanical Engineering, Han returned to Korea after completing his master's degree at the University of Michigan in the U.S. EPIKAR was founded in 2016 after he realized that dealers needed digital transformation while he was working at BMW Korea. EPIKAR succeeded in attracting Series A investment from a number of investment companies, including the Korea Development Bank, KDB.

Car dealer shops are still largely driven by human hands. Vehicle allocation is also analog. CEO Han stressed, "If dealers switch to digital, they can save time and money." The automobile market is rapidly changing from gasoline to electric vehicles, but the dealer industry is slow to be converted to digital industry. It's this part that EPIKAR has dug into. It provides EPIKAR’s test-drive solution, digital maintenance, and customer relationship management services.

EPIKAR is preparing to enter the U.S. in earnest beyond Korea. It has established a corporation in the United States not only to provide dealer management solutions to BMW Korea and seven official BMW dealers, but also to pioneer a wider market.

Tesla's success is the reason why CEO Han judged that EPIKAR’s service will be popular in the U.S. Tesla is envied by automakers and dealers in the United States as it focuses on "digital solutions" not only in electric vehicles but also in sales methods. CEO Han said, "I am confident that EPIKAR’s service will be popular in the United States," adding, "We are trying to provide the service, contacting various dealers in the United States."
