On Wednesday, May 24, 2023, Hanyang University ERICA Campus announced that it signed a resource circulation MOU with E-Circular Governance (Director Jeong Deok-gi).

ERICA Campus is accelerating ESG Management to be the best university for a better world through endless challenges and growth, creating Korea's best industry-university cooperation model. Based on this agreement, ERICA Campus is going to lead around 2,400 electronic and electric devices that are dumped to E-Circular Governance. Also, ERICA will contribute to eco-friendly recycling and grant ESG achievements such as carbon emission reduction, circular resource contribution, and social contribution activities.

ERICA Campus participates in the 'Emptying Everything, Sharing ESG' that E-Circular Governance runs (esg.modubiumr.or.kr) for the first time among educational institutes and it is expected to control the amount of trash and increase the recycling rate so that the campus can contribute to the activation of K-circular economy.

Vice President Lee Han-seung of ERICA Campus said, "By having ERICA Campus participate in the good resource cycle that deals with the non-usable electronic devices in eco-friendly ways, we get to recognize the environmental issues once again. I am happy to contribute to the eco-friendliness of an educational institute through this agreement."

Director Lee Won-yeong of E-Circular Governance said, "Having Hanyang University lead the ESG management to participate in the resource circulation for the first time as an educational institute is a meaningful event. I will provide tailored gathering services so that it can be actively done by enhancing cooperation."

In the meantime, the "Empty Everything, Sharing ESG" resource circulation program (esg.modubium.or.kr) is a service that collects and recycles electronic and electric devices eco-friendly and by collecting 12,152 tons of electronic and electric devices from 40 partner groups in 2022, it contributed to the 11,165 tons of recycling and 37,501tCO2-eq carbon emission decreasing effect.
